The beginning of an idea to the current project

Grupo CimentArt is a company born from the knowledge and the combination of old coatings and decorative materials and their working systems with the evolution of the chemical industry and new systems applied to the sector of decorative coatings. Thanks to a great technical and human team we have managed over the years to develop products whose technical and aesthetic qualities are at the highest level of market standards.

It was the desire to achieve a versatile product with excellent qualities, hardness and great beauty that led us to start developing it at the end of 2009.

Currently we develop the manufacture of Microcement CimentArt in our new facilities in Alicante (Spain) where all our products are manufactured, packaged and labelled under the highest quality standards. Nowadays, even though we have a product of the highest level, our R+D+I department continues to research and develop day after day in order to improve and achieve new advances in our products and their application.

At the moment we have a large number of branches in Spain distributed throughout the peninsular territory, the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands. We have started our international expansion being present and marketing our products all over Europe, as well as in other countries such as Costa Rica, Panama, Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico, United States, China, Japan, Singapore, India and Australia.

    Our story

    2009

    At the end of 2009 the idea and the project CimentArt was born. From November 2009 to May 2010 begins an exhaustive study of the different raw materials that make up the microcement. This study is an extensive compendium of knowledge and testing of samples from different suppliers of European raw materials. At the same time, we also studied similar products on the market.

    2010

    In January 2010, the first microcement applications were carried out. On 24 September 2010 CimentArt is born as a company. At the same time the first two offices were opened in Alicante (Spain) and Lisbon (Portugal). In this period of time numerous applications are made and CimentArt as a product is consolidated as a brand and begins to have a very good reputation as a very high quality microcement.

    2011

    In 2011 and not being able to meet so many requests for work orders throughout the Iberian Peninsula, we started our business model of delegations to delegate geographical areas and opened the first delegations in Spain and Portugal.

    2013

    In early 2013 the number of open delegations exceed 25 between Spain and Portugal. In March 2013 CimentArt launches new products: Stone, Solid Colour and Rustic. In August 2013 the international expansion begins and at the end of the year CimentArt starts in Ireland and Switzerland.

    2014

    In January 2014, CimentArt is the sales leader in Spain and Portugal. Branches are opened in other countries such as Brazil, Italy, France and England.

    2015

    In 2015 we launch the Icem range (ready-to-use microcements) and metallic and oxide finishes. Sales are made in more than 30 countries and our network of Delegations continues to grow to 56 in 11 different countries (Spain, Portugal, Brazil, France, Italy, England, Switzerland, Panama, Colombia, Canada and Australia).

    2017

    We continue to expand in countries such as Finland, Norway, Venezuela, Germany, Slovakia and Taiwan.

    In 2017 we launch the world’s first 100% waterproof Microcement. The iCem Aqua system. This waterproof system is standardised for other products such as Nature, Microconcrete and Stone.

    We received recognition as an INNOVATIVE SME from the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Economy and Competitiveness, being the ONLY Microcement company to receive this recognition.

    It is also the year of improvements in the Metallic Sealer (without the need for polishing) and new system for Microcement oxide with 4 finishes (oxide, corten, copper and bronze).

    2018 · 2019

    We continue to grow as a brand. We continue our expansion into new countries such as Denmark, Norway, Finland, Mexico and the United States.

    2020

    We obtain the ISO 9001 Quality and 14001 Environmental certificates, being the first exclusive microcement factory in the world to obtain them.

    2021

    We receive the award for best microcement manufacturer in Europe for the 3rd consecutive year. We launch CimentArt Pools and MicroStucco CimentArt on the market.

    2022

    We sell our microcement on 5 continents, including countries such as Australia, Singapore and China. In the United States, expansion is increasing, distributing our products in Florida, Sarasota, Texas, Washington, Virginia, Ohio and Las Vegas.
    2022 We obtain the Reyes Católicos 2022 National Award for business excellence, for our trajectory in the world of innovation and development of decorative products.

    2023

    We continue with the continuous improvement and innovation of our products. We will launch new products on the market: Luminescent Sealer and NerStone, the first draining pavement for exteriors and showers by CimentArt.
